About me

I am Cécile, a counsellor and psychotherapist based in Oranmore, Co. Galway. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, burnout, and life's bigger transitions.

I bring both professional training and genuine human curiosity to my work. My approach is integrative, drawing on person-centred, systemic, and psychodynamic ways of working. In practice, this means I adapt to the person in front of me rather than fitting you into a single model.

Sitting with people through difficult moments is something I have done for a long time — first as an athletic therapist, then for eight years as a clinical hypnotherapist, and now as a psychotherapist. I hold a Master's in Integrative Psychotherapy from DCU and am a pre-accredited member of the IACP.

Above all, my hope is that you leave each session feeling heard, understood, and a little less alone with what you are carrying. If any of this resonates, I would be glad to hear from you — taking the first step is often the hardest part.

Sessions are available in English and French, for individuals and couples, in person in Oranmore and online.

Frequently asked

The first session is primarily a chance to meet, and for me to hear what has brought you to therapy. There is no pressure to share anything you are not ready for.  It is an opportunity for you to see whether you feel comfortable with me — the relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important factors in the work, and I want you to feel that this is a good fit.
This varies greatly from person to person. Some people find a shorter, focused course of 6–12 sessions helpful for a specific issue. Others prefer longer-term, open-ended work. I do not set a fixed timeframe — we review progress together as we go, and you are always free to decide when the time feels right to end.
Couples work begins with one individual session for each partner, held separately, so I can hear each of your perspectives on their own. From there, we meet together as a couple for the ongoing sessions. The individual starting sessions are charged at the individual rate of €70, and the joint sessions that follow are €90 each.
Yes. Everything discussed in sessions is held in strict confidence. The only exceptions to this are the standard ethical guidelines required by the IACP. I will always explain these limits fully in our first session.
Yes — I offer both in-person and online sessions. In-person sessions take place in a private, comfortable room in Oranmore, Co. Galway. Online sessions are conducted via Zoom and are available to clients anywhere in Ireland. Many people find the flexibility of online sessions works very well alongside busy or unpredictable schedules. I am happy to discuss what might suit you best.
Yes. I work fluently in both English and French and welcome clients who prefer to speak in either language — or to move between the two, which some people find natural in an emotional context. There is no additional charge for French-language sessions.
Not at the moment. I am not currently covered by health insurance providers, so sessions cannot be claimed back through your policy.
